The Art Of People Watching
Flânerie is a established Parisian pastime. The Parisians have absolutely perfected and cultivated this hobby to a very high degree.
In the 1800s as the industrialisation wave hit Paris from England, flânerie became an art form. Flânerie originally means to meander aimlessly.
Soon, people watching caught up with everyone. With a multitude of new people and new cultures, Paris was theming with life. Who wouldn’t like to watch this?
Further on, Paris is the world’s fashion capital and invites a wide number of tourists. There are so many things to see, much more than catches the eye at first glance.
Parisians went to such great extents that they took turtles for a walk so that they could walk slowly and have a peek! This resulted in a certain number of literature books too!
A male practising flânerie is called flâneur and a female is called flâneuse….
