The Louvre is Ginormous!
The Museum of Louvre is situated in Paris. It is the biggest museum in the world.
Exactly how big is it?
The museum has 3 floors and underground galleries showing the foundations of the old Louvre Palace. In all it is 11 miles long. So if you were to see each artefact for about 6 seconds, it’d take you about 4 months to see the entire museum!
The glass cones that are so famous have been made to supply enough light to the underground galleries and the parking lot. If they weren’t there, the electricity consumed would be huge and a waste. The glass triangles make a good job of providing light to the Louvre! In all the Museé du Louvre has more than 380,000 objects and displays 35,000 works of art!
